This Talking head is based on the horns of a Wildebeest the hardy African antelope  renowned for  courage and longevity.
This particular head, with his laurel crown, embodies the spirit of PAEON, the healer of the gods.
Paeon, the physician and sorcerer, gazes down from his lofty seat in Mount Olympus, and drawing toward him every cure from every place, with a flourish,  leans forward and threads his iatric magic through everything he touches. He heals, he restores and he enchants and where he abides all will be suffused with his power and his strength.
